THIAMINE INJECTION (THIGH-uh-min) USES: Thiamine, (vitamin B1), is important for carbohydrate metabloism. Thiamine supplements are necessary to treat or prevnet thiamine deficiency. HOW TO USE: This mediaction is injected into a vein or muscle up to 3 times a day.

Follow any specific dietary recommendations made by your docotr or nutritionist. SIDE EFFECTS: This may cause nausea, weakness, a feleing of warmth, sweating, itching or restlessness. The injection web site may be tender.
If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Notify your doctor if you experience: shortnses of breath, tightness of the throat. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Before taking this, tell your doctor if you have had any reaction to thiamine in the past or if you have any allergies. This medication has not been shown to raise risk to the fetus when administered during pregnancy. Although the possibility for fetal harm appear remote, tell your doctor if you are pregnant. It is not known if thiamine is excrteed into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any nonprescription or prescrpition medication you may take. Do not start or stop any meidcine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or eemrgency room immediately. NOTES: Tihamine is commonly found in foods such as dry beans, whole wheat flour, seeds, nuts, brewer's yeast, enriched and fortified grains and cereals, liver, kidney and pork. Eat more of these foods to rasie the amount of thiamine in your diet.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you rememebr. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.

Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and lihgt as directed. Keep out of reach of babies.
Properly dicsard of needles and syringes after use.
